Three Models for New Danfoss Refrigeration Control

    May 24, 2016
In addition to a standard knockout in the bottom of the unit, the KPU 19 features another knockout in the rear protected with a rubber bushing.

Danfoss has introduced the new KPU 19 temperature control, the newest addition to its extensive line of refrigeration controls.

Designed to provide a simple, yet precise, solution for technicians interested in using electro-mechanical temperature controls, the KPU 19 series includes three models: one with a room sensor, the other two with sensing bulbs—one single-pole single-throw, the other single-pole double-throw. Both sensing bulb variants feature an 80-inch capillary tube and all KPU 19 controls have an operating range of −30 °F to 80 °F.

Each Danfoss KPU 19 comes with an optional screw-mounted knob for applications that require end-user adjustment. To minimize tampering, the control also includes an adhesive dial cover that can completely conceal the dial, preventing end-users from being able to adjust the control without removing the entire control cover. The cover is constructed from a durable plastic to prevent rust and maintain an attractive appearance over time.

In addition to a standard knockout in the bottom of the unit, the KPU 19 features another knockout in the rear protected with a rubber bushing. This additional hole eliminates the need to run conduit when the control is directly mounted on a piece of equipment.

To simplify the replacement of existing temperature controls, the KPU 19 has been designed with the rectangular shape most common in the market today.

The KPU 19 offers market-leading dial precision, repeatability, and service lifespan—minimizing call backs and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Danfoss KPU 19 joins the company’s extensive portfolio of pressure and temperature controls, including KPU 60 and 70 series temperature controls, KPU pressure controls, MP lube oil controls, and WVFX water valves. Each of these products offers time-tested reliability and a variety of features designed to simplify installation and service.
