• The Body of a Vital Organization

    Oct. 9, 2013
Your business is a body that lives, breathes and functions to carry out a purpose. Whether it functions efficiently or subpar is dependent on the organs within the body. Each organ is essential to the body, and without one, your body would be inefficient in carrying out its function.

What are the internal factors within your company? Incorporate these five “genes” into your company’s DNA and reap the benefits from employees, customers and even investors.

    Customer Focus

A successful organization is one that emphasizes on solving the customer’s problems. The customer must be the center of every dealer’s actions. Each process, procedure and policy must focus on customer needs.

    Embrace Change

How does a dealership maintain vitality? By embracing change. It’s the number one issue today’s businesses face. To be successful, you must not only accept changes, but adapt to them to continuously improve.

    Growing Knowledge

Be disciplined enough to keep growing your industry knowledge and HVAC skills. Accept the fact there is more out there for you to learn. It is each employee’s responsibility to grow the company and one-up the competition in this way. As the owner, you must encourage and stimulate a learning environment if you want your company to grow.

    Effective Teamwork

A cohesive team is the foundation of a profitable business. There must be communication and cooperation among the various departments within your organization. Perform well internally, execute well externally.

    Winning Attitude

Your attitude, as the leader, will set the tone for the whole company. Therefore, no matter the business climate or circumstances, you must always present a good face. Your company’s success is dependent on it.

Embed these “genes” into the DNA of your company and the body of your business will operate efficiently as a whole.
