INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. XX, 2015 — Carrier recently supported the dedication of a home its employees helped construct with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis. The home, which also features Carrier heating and cooling products, is one of several projects Carrier executed in 2015 with the Habitat organization. Carrier, the world’s leader in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Carrier employees spent hundreds of hours building the Habitat for Humanity home outside of Indianapolis throughout late summer and early fall. Carrier has supported Habitat for Humanity for nearly two decades with donations of Carrier heating and cooling products, many employee volunteer hours and significant financial contributions.

“Carrier has been a long-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, providing not only equipment for the homes, but also employee volunteers to physically work on the builds. We have been experts in making people comfortable in their homes for more than a century, and building homes for some of our community’s deserving residents is a wonderful opportunity to share our expertise,” said David Meyers, vice president, sales, Carrier. “We get every bit as much as we give.”

“As our longest-standing corporate supporter, each year we’re indebted to Carrier’s continued commitment to provide the life-changing opportunity for low-income families to purchase and own simple, quality, affordable homes. Each year Carrier provides hundreds of hard-working volunteers, quality heating and cooling systems, and generous financial support to help advance the Habitat for Humanity mission to build homes, communities and hope. Carrier and its team embody what it means to invest as a company into their community,” said Jim Morris, president and chief executive officer, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis.

Earlier this year, Carrier partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Los Angeles on additional projects. Carrier donated a conventional heating and cooling system with installation to a home in January, as well as two ductless systems to homes constructed by architecture and engineering students in the fall.

Carrier is committed to working with high-quality non-profit organizations to help build stronger communities around the country.
