Indiana Bryant Dealer Provides Equipment to Training Academy

    March 17, 2016
Jeff Chapman: “We employ several MTI graduates at Chapman and this donation was made to acknowledge the school’s importance to the industry’s ongoing labor and training.”

An Indiana Bryant dealer’s recent equipment donation to a local training institute will ensure that the next generation of heating and cooling technicians are familiar with the latest energy-efficient technology. Bryant, a leading supplier of heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

Chapman Heating and Air Conditioning, a Bryant Medal of Excellence Award winner in 2015, donated a Bryant multi-head ductless split to the Midwest Technical Institute (MTI) in Brownsburg, Ind.

“The institute was enthusiastic to begin instruction on ductless heating and cooling equipment and we wanted to make sure they have the very best equipment in the field to train their students on,” said Jeff Chapman, owner, Chapman Heating and Air Conditioning. “We employ several MTI graduates at Chapman and this donation was made to acknowledge the school’s importance to the industry’s ongoing labor and training.”

Founded in 1995, Midwest Technical Institute provides instruction in mechanical trades and health care fields.

“We are proud of our record of placing highly trained, proficient students in the promising field of heating and air conditioning and are always happy to create stronger partnerships with the contractors and dealers in the community,” said Billy Royal, director of education, Midwest Training Institute. “We are thrilled to have this new equipment and technology to ensure our students are familiar with this rapidly emerging form of heating and cooling. The institute thanks our friends at Chapman Heating and Air Conditioning.”

Bryant marketing manager Mark Repko applauded the gesture and the long-term significance for the next generation of HVAC technicians.

“The industry is facing a shortage of qualified technicians so it’s absolutely vital that we do what we can as an industry to ensure schools like the Midwest Training Institute have the tools to keep students up to date on the latest and greatest technologies,” said Repko. “We appreciate this step by Jeff and his team to help ensure service excellence for years to come.”
