Trane has introduced a line of 14 SEER and 16 SEER over/under units — the XR14h — available now in select markets that have new minimum regional efficiency standards. Trane sources report that Trane is the only HVAC manufacturer to offer replacement units that meet the new efficiency standards.
Packaged in a flexible cabinet, over/under all-in-one heating and air conditioning systems suit the structural and spatial requirements of a home, while working efficiently and quietly to keep homes comfortable all year round.
Trane’s three new 14 SEER models have cooling capacities ranging from 30,000 to 39,500 Btuh and high heating capacities from 25,600 to 35,000. A 16-SEER model is also available with a 24,800 cooling capacity and 21,200 high heating capacity.
All models feature a Climatuff scroll compressor, an enhanced defrost control board and improved service connection locations to eliminate tube rub issues.
Existing Trane over/under unit accessories, such as the BAYHTRC series heaters, are also compatible with the new models.
