A successful business is referred by customers, bragged on by employees, and supported by investors. Here are the five characteristics that make an organization vital:
1. Customer focus. The customer is the center of every action the dealer takes. Processes, procedures, and policies revolve around strong customer focus.
2. Embracing chance. Successful companies not only accept change but they actively chase continuous improvement. It’s the number one business issue facing companies in today’s turbulent times.
3. Learning culture. Constant learning on the part of all employees from the owner to the installer is actively encouraged.
4. Effective teamwork. No need for silos in a company that uses effective teamwork. Instead, there is communication and cooperation among departments.
5. Winning attitude. Employees have a can-do attitude; the business owner leads the way by being positive no matter what the circumstances.
These characteristics allow the organization to satisfy customers, encourage employees, and achieve profitability. How vital is your company?
