Carrier recently received a silver-level “Excellence in Design” award from appliance DESIGN magazine for its Carrier® Infinity® 20 heat pump with Greenspeed™ intelligence. This year marks the 25th year for the publication’s “Excellence in Design” awards. Products from 10 industry categories were evaluated, and the appliance DESIGN panel of judges selected the Carrier Infinity heat pump based on its innovation, simplicity, functionality, and other considerations, including optimized capabilities, environmental footprint and energy and cost savings.

Introduced in 2011, the Infinity heat pump with Greenspeed intelligence is the highest heating efficiency ducted, air source heat pump on the market with a Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) efficiency rating up to 13. The Infinity heat pump delivers up to 69% higher heating efficiency in the three-ton size.

“At Carrier, we are continually enhancing the design of our products to be more energy efficient, reliable and easier to install and use, so it is an honor to receive an ‘Excellence in Design’ award from appliance DESIGN magazine,” said John Gibbons, director, residential product strategy, Carrier. “Part of Carrier’s commitment to customers, contractors and the environment is designing systems, such as the Infinity heat pump with Greenspeed intelligence, that reduce overall energy use, consume fewer resources, and reduce our environmental footprint.”

The Infinity 20 heat pump with Greenspeed intelligence was one of four HVAC products to receive the “Excellence in Design” designation from appliance DESIGN magazine.
