Media representatives are advised that the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) and the Associacin de Normalizacin y Certificacin (ANCE), the electrical standards development agency in Mexico, will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Oct. 9 in Mexico City, the day prior to the AHR Expo Mexico show opening
ARI says the MOU will help foster the harmonization of ARI and Mexican HVACR technical standards, and promote collaboration on standard development, to help advance international trade, and strengthen industry efforts to improve their products’ energy efficiency, and reduce refrigerant emissions.
ARI adds that the MOU is an important step in assuring regional harmonization within North America and will serve as a stepping stone for more international standardization.
