The Zoning Marketing Alliance (ZMA), Cleveland, OH is accepting membership applications are being accepted for the newly established trade organization. Contractors, manufacturers, distributors, and other professionals interested in contributing to the growth of zoning systems in the HVACR industry can apply online at www.ZMAonline.org. “The voyage has begun,” says Dennis Laughlin, president of ZMA. The ZMA will launch its first major initiative September 12, 2002. HVAC Comfortech, slated for Baltimore, MD will be the site of the ZMA’s official launch. Interested parties should contact www.ZMAonline.org for membership applications and general information. A preliminary infrastructure meeting was held in April, at which time the founding members drafted the mission and guiding principles that ZMA will follow. The founding members included Laughlin, Andrew Hulse, director of global zone control systems at Honeywell, and Contracting Business Editor-in Chief Mike Murphy. A website is also in the immediate future for ZMA. The ZMA’s website will begin to post member notices and create a member referral directory as soon as membership applications are received.
