HVACR & Mechanical Instructor Workshop to be Held in March

The 16th Annual HVACR & Mechanical Instructor Workshop will be held on March 23-25, 2011 at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, VA.

The 16th Annual HVACR & Mechanical Instructor Workshop will be held on March 23-25, 2011 at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, VA. With an educational focus on "Fueling Future Success," the Workshop will provide an array of informative general sessions, single-topic workshops, and opportunities for networking with major HVACR and mechanical manufacturers and other industry training professionals. There is no registration fee for this event.

The 2011 HVACR & Mechanical Instructor Workshop will feature keynote speaker Dr. Sally Downey. Dr. Downey is the Superintendent of the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT), a public school district in Mesa, AZ, dedicated to providing a productive, technically trained workforce to meet the market-driven needs of business and industry. Dr. Downey has been this district's visionary, providing leadership and direction for the total operation of the school. Dr. Downey will address the importance of the classroom learning experience and how instructors can and should partner with business and association entities.

The 2011 HVACR & Mechanical Instructor Workshop is jointly sponsored by Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI); Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA); Heating, Air conditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI); Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI); North American Technician Excellence (NATE); National Association of Oil Heating Service Managers (NAOSHM); National Association Educational Foundation; Plumbing-Heating-Cooling-Contractors-National Association (PHCC); Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES). In addition, the workshop is closely partnered with Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE), Council of Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Educators (CARE), and SkillsUSA.
