LonMarkInternational has appointed Ron Bernstein to the role of executive director. Bernstein has extensive experience in the specification, design, and implementation of control systems and the design and deployment of LonWorks®-based devices. He has more 14 years of experience with Echelon Corporation in a variety of roles relating to control systems in building automation, transportation and process control in industrial applications and home automation.
Mr. Bernstein is leaving his current position as Channel Manager for Echelon, where he managed the Open Systems Alliance and distribution programs for this new position with LonMark International. Mr. Bernstein is a founding board member and Vice Chairman of LonMark Americas where he helped end users, integrators, and product manufacturers harness the value of open LonWorks solutions. Mr. Bernstein has given lectures around the world on the topics of building controls, open systems, master planning, and intelligent buildings initiatives and is a published author with articles appearing in various industry trade magazines.
Barry Haaser resigned his position as executive director of LonMark International to become senior business director of Echelon Corporation. Haaser will continue to serve on the LonMark International board of directors.
