TDIndustries, Dallas, TX, has acquired JBS Mechanical in Phoenix, AZ as part of the firm's overall growth strategy in the state. The acquisition is the result of an extensive search conducted by TDIndustries over the past year. TDIndustries has additional offices in Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, San Antonio and Phoenix.
"We believe that the greater Phoenix area is poised for growth, and this acquisition enables us to support that growth. JBS is a respected HVAC service contractor with loyal customers and a 20-year track record of service to this community. Our mutual business values and company cultures are a great match," says Ed White, general manager of TDIndustries in Phoenix.
"We reviewed a wide range of firms and honed in on their company cultures as a decisive factor. Our long-held servant leadership philosophy exemplifies how we conduct business. We wanted to associate with an equally customer-focused firm in Phoenix," says TDIndustries CEO Harold MacDowell.
More than 300 companies were reviewed by TD senior management with four potential acquisitions candidates identified. JBS Mechanical specializes in commercial and industrial HVAC systems and has a deep client roster of owner-occupied facilities, especially financial institutions. JBS president and co-owner Robert Stinger will remain with TDIndustries as a senior sales executive.
"TDIndustries has an outstanding reputation for its people and its service capabilities. We know our customers will value this new relationship and are excited about the future of this market and our ability to grow with it," Stinger says.
George Athens, vice president of service for TDIndustries in Phoenix, will assume day-to-day responsibilities and management oversight. It is anticipated that the integration of operations and facilities will be completed by the end of September. Dave Joran, JBS vice president, is also remaining with TDIndustries, and will be responsible for the leadership of the field technicians and customer retention.
