Emerson Climate Technologies announced its UltraTech™ Home Series at the recent Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating (AHR) Expo in Chicago. A collection of the company’s products for residential heating and cooling systems, the series features technology designed to reduce energy consumption, improve comfort, and raise system performance. Emerson gained valuable insight from a council of HVAC contractors during the development of the UltraTech Series, says Tom Betcher, business leader for Emerson Climate Technologies. “This is the first step towards our goal of providing technology solutions that are packaged together to meet a specific set of challenges for a market.” The UltraTech Home Series provides a grouping of the company’s most advanced, energy-efficient products. They can either stand alone as an individual application, or be combined for a complete system solution. The series currently includes five products. The Copeland Scroll Ultratech is the first modulated scroll compressor for the U.S. residential market. The PerfectSpeed™ motors come in two configurations: a fan motor designed for air conditioning and a blower with electric control designed for furnaces. The Comfort Alert™ Diagnostics self-contained module installs in the electrical box of a residential outdoor unit. It analyzes data on system performance and system-related faults. The White-Rodgers Intell-Ignition™ Nitride System smart control allows a gas furnace system to find the optimum ignition temperature. The White-Rodgers Gemini™ Two-Stage Gas Valve is designed to work with most two-stage furnace systems, in any position.
