Warren Beeton, vice president of engineering for the Refrigeration Division of Emerson Climate Technologies, has received the Richard C. Shultze Distinguished Service Award from the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
The award selection was made by industry colleagues, and is given to recognize distinguished service and commitment to AHRI and the goals and objectives of the industry.
“Our industry has benefited immeasurably from Warren’s contributions,” says Stephen Yurek, president, Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute. “His many years of dedicated service and expertise on behalf of our industry in the areas of compressor technology, commercial refrigeration, research and standards have been an inspiration to his colleagues.”
In addition to his duties as vice president of engineering and technology business leader, Beeton will now also provide leadership for Emerson Climate Technologies’ regulatory and sustainability efforts, reporting to Emerson’s new sustainability steering committee. He will represent Emerson Climate Technologies on the board of the Alliance for a Responsible Atmospheric Policy, participate in committees for American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and AHRI, and work with government regulators and legislators on sustainability and environmental issues.
