Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which provides independent product safety certifications for manufacturers across the globe, has conducted a Data Acceptance Program (DAP) audit at Regal Beloit’s Fort Wayne, Ind., Development Lab facility and has granted the company's laboratory Client Test Data Program (CTDP) certification.
CTDP certification means that the laboratory is UL certified to run most motor and sealed tube tests in-house, rather than having those tests performed at another CTDP laboratory. Regal Beloit is one of the first CTDP laboratories to test electronically commutated motors (ECM).
This certification will assist in reducing both the expense and cycle time involved in introducing new products.
Regal Beloit is a leading manufacturer of mechanical and electrical motion control and power generation products serving markets throughout the world.
