The mechanical systems industry lost a tremendous asset and spokesman with the passing of W. Randall “Randy” Rawson, president and CEO of the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA), on the evening of November 23, 2013.
Rawson, 64-years-old, led the ABMA for the past 25 years and was a well-known political analyst, industry negotiator, and information generator. As ABMA Chairman Kevin J. Hoey writes, "Randy will be remembered as a skilled salesman and ‘showman,’ relishing in his public engagements, the ABMA’s monthly newsletters, and authored periodicals. He did not shy from controversey or contrarian views, but welcomed same as opportunities to define clarity of position and ably advance the ABMA’s mission."
Information on funeral arangements are still pending.
