To paraphrase Wayne "The Great One" Gretzky, "One hundred percent of the projects you don't enter into the CB Design/Build awards will not win." Amazing how that works.
ContractingBusiness.com started the Design/Build awards almost 20 years ago, to honor the finest examples of commercial Design/Build HVAC mechanical systems installations across the U.S. D/B is still going strong, and each year we feature some of the best projects from the nation's best commercial HVAC contractors. But we need to hear from you by July 12.
You don't have to be a Design/Build giant to win. Smaller and medium-size companies can win, and many have. It's the quality of work and innovation that counts. Projects can be from schools, municipal/government buildings, data centers, hospitals, hotels, casinos, or office buildings. Just about any non-residential facility is eligible.
This year we have also started to pay closer attention to projects completed with the help of Building Information Modeling (BIM), Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and those that make use of the highest levels of energy-efficient products and design. So if you're planning to submit the project for LEED consideration, submit it to us as well.
Be recognized nationally, for an enhanced profile as a regional champion.
All we ask is that entries be completed by and submitted by the commercial HVAC contracting firm. NOTE: If it's a government or law enforcement facility, make sure your customer knows that we must publish photos of the building's exterior and interior, including photos of the mechanical room.
In addition to recognizing Design/Build project excellence, we will also accept for our judges' consideration all outstanding examples of work performed under the Design/Bid and Design/Assist delivery methods.
To make this an easier process, we've established an online entry form. In it, we ask for specific details and photos, which can also be uploaded into the entry form. Don't be daunted by the questions. Just give enough information so that the judges will have what they need to assess the project fairly.
