F.W. Webb Named GE Appliances' Exclusive Northeast Distributor

Aug. 5, 2024
GE’s residential HVAC systems, including gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, packaged units, and air handlers, are now available across the Northeast exclusively from F.W. Webb.

After launching its partnership with GE Appliances in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, F.W. Webb is now the exclusive distributor of GE’s full line of HVAC residential products throughout the Northeast. GE’s residential HVAC systems, including gas furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, packaged units, and air handlers, are now available across the Northeast exclusively from F.W. Webb.

“We’ve found great success establishing trusted partnerships with premium brands, so this represents an extension of our philosophy to match our premium distribution capabilities with premium manufacturers,“ says Art Osborn, director of residential and light commercial HVAC sales for F.W. Webb Company.

“At F.W. Webb, we feature an all-encompassing approach to support HVAC contractors as they grow and build their businesses,” says Osborn. “We’re proud to partner with GE. It’s a premium brand that, like us, has created a variety of ways to help facilitate the success of professionals who install and service critical HVAC systems that keep homeowners safe and comfortable.”

GE’s line of residential HVAC systems features a full range of gas furnaces with 90%+ AFUE ratings. For technicians installing the furnaces, GE’s Insta-Position Technology means the equipment needs no on-site adjustments for horizontal positioning, leading to easy attic installations. The furnaces measure 33-in. vertically, allowing for even more installation flexibility.

Meanwhile, GE’s air conditioners and heat pumps, including the three-ton, 16 Seer, Single-Stage Air Conditioning Unit, have 45-degree service valves, allowing technicians to work on gauges more efficiently. The systems are also built with aluminum alloy tube and fin coils. The coils have undergone rigorous tests in disparate climate environments and exposure to 500 hours of salt spray.

GE’s packaged units, including heat pumps, gas electric, and straight AC systems, require no clearance if the systems need to be installed close to a building. Professionals don’t need to acquire extra parts for horizontal or downflow applications—the packaged units arrive ready for those scenarios.

“GE’s residential HVAC units are high-quality products that address various customer needs,” says Osborn. “We’ve taken great care in curating these sturdy, dependable, and well-made systems from a manufacturer that holds its HVAC products to the uncompromising GE Appliances standard.”
