2016 AHR Expo: TE Connectivity Offers HVAC Sensor Solutions to OEMs

Jan. 5, 2016
TE is working to solve today's biggest application challenges in both the development and instrumentation of HVACR systems

TE Connectivity will be exhibiting at Booth 4366 at the 2016 AHR Expo, with high performance component solutions that help sense, connect and control the modern building.

As a global designer and manufacturer of sensors, TE sources say the company is working to solve today's biggest application challenges in both the development and instrumentation of HVACR systems in new and innovative ways, including the advancements in temperature, humidity and pressure sensors that are most commonly used in building equipment applications.

TE recently launched a new fast response pipe mount temperature sensor that provides reliable, accurate temperature measurements even in the harshest environments seen in HVACR applications.

The IH-492 series features a highly rugged axial glass encapsulated thermistor potted into a fast response copper housing with 36-in. of AWG#24 PVC insulated wire making it a compact, low cost solution ideal for pipe mounting on OEM applications where fast response and a high degree of moisture resistance is required. Applications include inlet and outlet refrigerant temperature, suction line monitoring, defrost termination, electronic expansion valve temperature monitoring as well as anywhere else in refrigeration and air conditioning systems that could benefit from the small-profile, rugged sensor.

TE sources say it understands the design challenges that OEMs face with respect to switching and connectivity within HVAC applications. Whether applications require connectors, switches, relays, connectors, filters or sensors, TE’s experienced engineers and broad line of components enable HVACR OEM’s to optimize their designs.

TE’s HVAC application experts will at the booth for the show's duration.
