AHR Expo’s return as a live event drew more than 30,000 attendees seeking the newest HVACR innovations.

February 10, 2022 – The AHR Expo returned last week to Vegas after a forced hiatus in 2021. After two years of uncertainty and a longing to reunite the industry, the event represented an eagerness to return to business drawing 30,678 attendees. The success of the show signals a reignited energy for all things HVACR and the community’s readiness to take on the challenges and opportunities ahead with renewed optimism.

The return to a live AHR Expo was a gift to yours truly, as someone who totally digs the trade show experience, notwithstanding the walking required. Industry innovation was clearly not inhibited during the past two years or so.

Innovations were on display by Bosch Thermotechnology, Greenheck, Emerson, Infinitum Electric, Mitsubishi, Friedrich, Fujitsu, LG and Rheem, to name a few. Impressive software platforms to elevate every contractor's field communications game were demonstrated by BuildOps, Cool Automation and Successware.

The Chemours Company  and Honeywell were briefing guests on the importance of refrigerant changes as the HFC phase down continues. In the tools department, Parker was displaying ZoomLock PUSH and ZoomLock MAX, as the revolution beyond brazing continues. Rapid Locking System is also a big player in the press connections market, and drew a crowd for many demonstrations over the course of the three-day event.

And our good friend, Dick Foster of ZONEFIRST was a busy man, as he provided endless number of demonstrations of his newest innovation, the BLISS combination light switch/thermostat control which can be used alone or integrated into a ZONEFIRST zoning system.

The only down side was having to remain in town for two extra days due to the blizzard out east. Not the best city to be stranded in, in my opinion.

Best wishes and success to all for a successful cooling season and beyond.
