Effective Jan. 2, 2014, RAE Corporation, Pryor, OK, will implement a price increase across its four divisions; Century Refrigeration, RAE Coils, Refrigeration Systems and Technical Systems.
Sources say the price increases are largely due to national and international economic events that have directly or indirectly impacted the U.S. economy. The company has successfully offset some negative economic factors through a series of improved operating efficiencies making this their first overall price increase in over 24 months.
“At this point, we can no longer buffer our valued customers from rising input costs and are passing along a modest increase so we can continue to provide the value our customers find in RAE Corporation. We refuse to sacrifice quality or customer service to save a few pennies and will continue to deliver excellence to our customers across all facets of our business,” says Kevin Trowhill, vice president of sales.
The impact of the price increase will vary from 2-4% across the divisions and will be dependent on the raw material content of the equipment, including aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, and copper.
