To meet the growing demand for service and application training among HVAC contractors and engineers, Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division, America’s No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating technology, has opened two additional Mitsubishi Electric Training Centers. With these two new training centers, located in Orlando, FL, and Chicago, IL, Mitsubishi Electric now provides hands-on, live training from industry experts in 10 locations across the country.
The 6,100-sq.ft. Orlando Training Center opened in February 2013. The Orlando Training Center joins the existing Atlanta Training Center, located in Suwanee, Ga., in serving contractors and engineers in Mitsubishi Electric’s South Business Unit (BU), one of five U.S. regional business units.
“Florida is an integral part of our South Business Unit, and the Orlando Training Center provides a convenient location for many of our BU members,” says Doug King, South Business Unit manager, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division. “We’re now able to provide our customers in Florida and the Southeast with the level of training they need.”
The 6,800-sq.ft. Chicago Training Center is located in Schaumburg, IL, and will open for classes later this month. An open house is scheduled for May 22.
“Our new state-of-the-art training facility in Chicago offers contractors and engineers in the Midwest the opportunity to learn installation and service techniques directly from our experts,” says Dan Keck, Central Business Unit manager, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division. “This hands-on training prepares them for installing and servicing Mitsubishi Electric air-conditioning and heat pump systems.”
Both the Orlando and Chicago facilities offer hands-on service and field courses for Mitsubishi Electric’s residential, light commercial and commercial product lines, as well as application workshops. Several classes are offered in both English and Spanish. To ensure the highest level of interactive training for students, the facilities have installed demonstration equipment with fully functioning models of Mitsubishi Electric systems, as well as high-tech computer and audio/visual equipment. Each facility includes additional office space for the Mitsubishi Electric sales team.
"The opening of these new Mitsubishi Training Centers illustrates Mitsubishi Electric's commitment to growth by providing our sales team and customers with high-quality facilities and the best training and information possible," says Bud Nardello, vice president of sales, Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating Division.
