Sharp Corporation has recently expanded its ductless mini split lineup and is now selling units up to 36,000Btuh in North America. Sharp is leveraging its well known brand name and experience of selling mini splits in about 100 countries around the world, as it expands its presence in North America.
Sources report that these mini-splits — manufactured in Sharp’s own factory in Thailand — have many unique features, including Plasmacluster Ion, Sharp's patented air purification technology, that has been used in Japanese brand automobiles and in other industries, as well as its aerodynamic and bio-mimicry designed airflow control system.
These mini splits are also designed for the colder climate in North America, with improved durability and drainage performance.
Additionally, Sharp plans to significantly increase its number of distributors and business volume in the North American mini-split market in 2015.
