Danfoss recently named Paul Dean general manager of the company's commercial compressor facility in Arkadelphia, AR. In this capacity, Dean will provide leadership to the Arkadelphia management team and execute the global business strategy.

Dean brings to his new position more than 15 years experience as an operations/plant manager in the automotive, rotating equipment, and high-volume packaging industries. In the first 18 months of his career with Knoll, Inc., he was responsible for turn-around operations and grew margins by 45% by restructuring and implementing lean manufacturing practices that lowered operating costs.

"We're pleased to welcome Paul to Danfoss, and are particularly excited about his proven track record in lean manufacturing practices and ISO," says John Galyen, president, Danfoss North America.

"Paul's experience and success in these critical areas will contribute to our performance, quality and reliability goals for the business and our commitment to provide the highest possible service to our customers."

Dean is a Six Sigma Black Belt, holds a master degree in business administration and was an undergraduate student of Tuskegee University, Tuskegee, AL. He has also served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force.

In his new position, Dean will report to Jean-Pierre Le Du, vice president, supply chain.
