The HVACR industry's commitment to providing training related to A2L refrigerants continues to impress.
Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) reported today is is offering four sessions of live, virtual training on safety related to A2L refrigerants.
Dates for the live, virtual courses presented by ACCA and RightTek HVAC Training are:
- October 3 at 11 AM - 1 PM ET
- October 15 at 1 PM - 3 PM ET
- November 8 at 11 AM - 1 PM ET
- December 16 at 1 PM - 3 PM ET
As the HVACR industry evolves, HFC refrigerants such as R-410A and R-404A are being phased down in favor of new, more energy-efficient and environmentally friendly lower-GWP refrigerants, such as R-32 and R-454B.
Unlike the last refrgerant transition (R-22 to R-410A) which shifted from the use of one nonflammable refrigerant to another, many of these new refrigerants are mildly flammable (A2L), so additional training will be needed in order to use them safely. In this course trainer Anthony Maynor will focus on how to handle A2L refrigerants effectively to improve your workflow and service quality, and implement best practices to minimize risks and ensure safe operations.
