St. Louis, MO-based mechanical contracting firm Haberberger, Inc., has started work on two new projects in Missouri. The Haberberger team was awarded contracts for work on the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lemay, and at Ameren’s Taum Sauk Plant, located near Lesterville, MO.
At MSD’s Lemay Wastewater Treatment Plant and Lemay Pump Station, Haberberger, Inc., is working alongside Goodwin Brothers, the general contractor, to complete the above-grade piping tie-ins and valve vaults on both ends of a rock tunnel that is approximately 3,200 feet long. Haberberger is supporting prime contractor SAK Construction’s work to install a 96-inch redundant force main in the tunnel. Haberberger’s team is being led by general foreman Phil Jones and project manager Jeff Roberts. The project is slated for completion in April 2015.
Haberberger, Inc., has also been hired by Helmkamp Construction to complete the mechanical piping portion of a project at Ameren’s Taum Sauk Plant. Haberberger, Inc., is working to change out the servo motors on the turbines by running cooling lines, control pipe and grease lines to new rotary valves and wicket gates. This $45,000 project, which will be completed before the end of the November, is being led by Haberberger foreman Phil Jones and project manager Steve Haberberger, Sr.
