Murphy Company, a mechanical, industrial, commercial and institutional construction and engineering company with offices in Denver, Colorado Springs, St. Louis and Belleview IL, has been recognized and awarded, for a second time, for its outstanding corporate citizenship by energy partner Xcel Energy.
As a 2014 Xcel Energy Efficiency Partner, Murphy Company’s on-going commitment to energy conservation solutions is yielding big dividends for their customers and our environment. Murphy Company customers earned $121,000 in rebates and saved 339,000 KWH in energy consumption. Rebates were earned primarily from cooling related improvements and for recommissioning, motors and drives.
Murphy Company’s policy to find and implement the best, most cost-effective energy saving products and procedures is not new to the company.
“Saving the customer money and being good stewards for our environment has always been part of the culture and the Design/Build/Design/Assist mission at Murphy,” says Christine Beermann, a LEED-accredited, NC 2.0 and EB 2.0 Design/Build engineer with Murphy Company. She spearheads the partnership with Xcel Energy along with team members Dorian Ross, P.E., LEED AP, Design/Build engineering supervisor and Daniel Shepardson, P.E., LEED AP (O+M), QCxP. The team also helped secure the first Xcel Energy Efficiency Partner award for Murphy Company in 2012.
Murphy Company performs work related to process piping, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, Design/Build, Design-Assist, ASME code work, piping fabrication, construction energy solutions, and 24-hour maintenance service.
