Daikin Applied Brings 'Internet of Things' Ideas to Contractors, Engineers, Building Owners
The folks at Daikin came up with a great name for this annual event, and once again, Daikin Applied’s annual ‘Ideas in Motion’ Roadshow will be visiting many U.S. cities beginning in September. They've expanded the tour schedule this fall to deliver the latest in HVAC technology to contractors, specifying engineers and building owners.
The Roadshow will stop in 11 communities across the country with programming that includes live demonstrations, educational sessions, a preview of newly expanded product lines and discussions with experts, including the company’s Intelligent Equipment and what Internet of Things (IoT) means to the commercial building industry.
For the first time in commercial HVAC equipment, Daikin Applied has harnessed IoT and embedded the Intelligent Equipment platform into its HVAC technology across its new and legacy rooftop product lines, including Rebel, Maverick II and RoofPak, enabling machine-to-machine communication to improve efficiencies. Participants at select locations will also have an opportunity to earn Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits by attending these sessions.
In addition to Intelligent Equipment, other products included in the “Ideas in Motion” Roadshow include: new, larger Rebel rooftop units ranging from three to-28 ton sizes and Trailblazer air cooled scroll chillers now available in sizes from 30-240 tons. Equipment on display includes the Magnitude magnetic bearing chiller, Maverick rooftop unit, MicroTech Integrated System controls, Pathfinder air cooled chiller, Rebel rooftop unit, SmartSource WSHP, ThinLine fan coils and Vision air handlers.
The tour’s hands-on approach is proven to be popular with attendees; having the equipment and technology onsite creates a more experiential learning process than a classroom, webinar or manual. One key aspect of the roadshow is that Daikin Applied experts show participants the flexibility of applying Daikin solutions to their systems giving building owners and managers more control in managing the environment, efficiency and costs in their operations. The roadshow also gives participants a head start in becoming proficient with the latest technology and helps to prepare them for future jobs and projects.
