Trane Receives Women’s Choice Award in Heating and Air Conditioning Systems Category
WomenCertified® awarded Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and solutions and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, with the 2012 Women's Choice Award in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Systems Category. The award was based on a WomenCertified Brand Preference Survey developed in part through a joint study with the Wharton School of Business.
WomenCertified, the voice of the female consumer, honors brands with the Women’s Choice Award seal that recognizes brands based on a woman’s propensity to recommend that brand to others. More than 5,000 female consumers were surveyed about their favorite HVAC brands, and Trane came out on top. As part of the award process, home improvement professionals were also asked their opinion in the WomenCertified Consumer Audit to validate the survey findings.
“We are honored to receive the Women’s Choice Award. It further validates Trane’s continued commitment to our dealers and our collective service to our customers. And, since women account for more than 80 percent of all consumer purchases and influence 90 percent of all home products purchasing decisions, this award represents the trust that women put in our brand,” said Joyce Warrington, director of brand and channel marketing for Trane.
When a company bears the Women’s Choice Award seal, it serves as an accolade in identifying brands women trust and recommend.
“Recognizing the top home improvement brands nationwide that are women-friendly and align with women’s identified preferences is important to our mission at WomenCertified, where we are women helping women make smart choices,” said Delia Passi, founder of WomenCertified and author of “Winning the Toughest Customer: The Essential Guide to Selling to Women.” “We are proud of Trane for taking ownership of their customer experience and creating a business environment that bucks the trends and continues to provide exceptional service both to women and men alike.”
