Training for Tomorrow: More Accreditations Announced by HVAC Excellence

The HVAC industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States according to the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). The BLS has stated that 65.6% of the service persons in the HVAC industry in 2020 will be people who were not in the HVAC industry in 2010. The recently accredited schools are Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center, Ivy Tech Community College, Jefferson College, and Central Carolina Technical College.

, Washington, DC, is a not-for-profit organization created in 1994 to improve the technical competency of the HVACR industry. HVAC Excellence offers progressive levels of certificaiton, educator credentialing, programmatic accreditation, and professional development opportunities.

Central Carolina Technical College is the first HVACR program in South Carolina to be granted accreditation. The program at Central Carolina Technical College is led by Mr. Jack Hossink, recognized by HVAC Excellence as a Certified Master HVACR Educator. This is the highest title that HVAC Excellence can confer upon an HVACR educator.
Ivy Tech Community College now has HVAC Excellence accredited programs at campuses in Bloomington, Evansville, Kokomo, Lafayette, and South Bend.
