    EMCOR Services New England Mechanical to Tackle Major Energy Efficiency Project

    The building manager, Forstone Management, selected EMCOR Services New England Mechanical to perform the upgrade project, in part, because of its knowledge of and familiarity with the Energize Connecticut program and the Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) program and the potential for EMCOR Services New England Mechanical to assist the project in securing energy incentives through these programs.

    EMCOR Services New England Mechanical has been awarded a contract to provide energy efficiency upgrades at a 98,000 sq.ft. commercial building known as 855 Main Street in Bridgeport, CT.

    EMCOR Services New England Mechanical will be responsible for providing complete, turnkey services, from project conception to measurement and verification of the energy savings. Scope of work includes an initial ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) Level II building energy audit—which provides the building owner with a detailed building survey and energy analysis---development and energy analysis of energy conservation measures, and the engineering and construction of recommended energy efficiency improvements.  Energy upgrades will include high efficiency window glazing, a central chilled water plant, building control strategies, and a direct digital control system.
