    July 9, 2014
HVAC contractors and installers won’t want to miss Unico’s next “Pints with Pete” webinar, on July 18. Ron Blechle from Sporlan, a manufacturer of valves used in all Unico coil modules, will share his expertise and answer questions about this important component of air conditioning equipment.
“Contractors should be especially interested in this class as Sporlan is the world leader in refrigeration metering devices, and their products are widely used in the HVAC industry,” said Pete Williams, a 30-year veteran of HVAC installation, training, and product development at Unico.  “It’s a chance to talk to an expert about challenges in air conditioning and how to address them.” Blechle will discuss Sporlan’s Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV), which is designed to keep the evaporator supplied with enough refrigerant to satisfy all load conditions. Blechle will review proper installation, correct capacity, and troubleshooting.  Unico has been utilizing Sporlan valves since 1985. The webinar is one hour long, and begins at 4 p.m. EST (3 p.m. CST). A question and answer session will occur at the end of the presentation. Registration information and the full schedule are available at www.unicosystem.com/training. For those who cannot participate, a video recording of the webinar will be posted online about a week following the session. At the end of each webinar, participants have a chance to win a six-pack of a craft beer selected by Pete Williams, a devotee of crafted beer.
