Refreshing: Unico Serves Up 'Pints with Pete' Webinars

    April 22, 2014
The webinars include demonstrations and other visuals to aid learning. A question and answer session will be scheduled at the end of every presentation. Drawings will be held for some of Williams' favorite brews.

There can be many ways to make learning more interesting and inventive, and Unico has found one.

Pete Williams, a 30-year veteran of HVAC installation, training, and product development at Unico, Inc. has started a monthly web broadcast for HVAC contractors called, “Pints with Pete,” an hour-long interactive discussion on various HVAC topics. The broadcast offers a "refreshing" twist for Pete's fellow beer officianados.

The webinar title may sound curious to those who don’t yet know Pete, but for those who do, it’s a perfect fit.  Says Williams, “I occasionally enjoy an evening pint at a local pub with other contractors. Just for fun, we plan to have drawings during some of the webinars, with winners getting a selection of my favorite brews.”

“Pete is Unico’s version of the Shell Answer Man,” says Scott Intagliata, marketing director at Unico. “He's a brilliant instructor in the art and science of heating and cooling, and is particularly knowledgeable about bringing efficiency and comfort to challenging spaces such as older buildings and homes.”

Webinar topics include “Setting the SCB on a blower,” “Checking and replacing motors and wheels,” and “How to select a condensing unit for an air handler.” The webinars include demonstrations and other visuals to aid learning. A question and answer session will be scheduled at the end of every presentation. Registration information and the full schedule are available at www.unicosystem.com/training. Video recordings of the webinars will be posted about a week following each session.
